Ultimates Grune was release by Super7 in June 2021. It is based on the ThunderCats 1985 original series Grune. A Toy Version was developed for wave nine based in color on the LJN counterpart. Later, Ghost Grune was offered as a exclusive for SDCC in 2024 along with Lion-O (LED Eyes) and Mumm-Ra (LED Eyes).
Grune (Toy Version) was announced with the other toys of wave nine which included: WilyKat, Jaga (Toy Version), and Chilla. If the whole nine wave set of four is bought from Super7's website, a Exclusive Super Pack would come with the set which had additional heads, one for each figure in the wave.
