Sideman is Bluegrass's fighting hawk.
History[]
Sideman along with Mayday, Stronghold, and Rayzor were developed by the Steel twins to help the SilverHawks out. Developing more Fighting Hawks much like Tally-Hawk, was a idea that the two had formed when Tally-Hawk was introduced to them. The Steel twin's were still in the process of getting them operational when they were informed by Stargazer that a flock of Sky-Shadows were attacking Tally-Hawk on Automata while Quicksilver had disappeared while trying to stop Mon*Star's on the planet.
Sideman along with the other hawks were finally approved by the twins and then introduced to their respective masters. Sideman being given to Bluegrass. Along with the SilverHawks and its three newly active Fighting Hawk pals, they all went to Automata to help out Tally-Hawk and find Quicksilver. Sideman served as a opener for the group and was released from the Hot-Seat that Bluegrass pilots in. Sideman converted from a guitar to the semi-hawk like look and then battled the Sky-Shadows, giving Tally-Hawk relief. Destroyed eight of them. Later, Sideman was with the other Fighting Hawks including Tally-Hawk on a pipe in Monotone's room.
The time that Halley's Comet was coming at Bedlama, Sideman was used to battle with Melodia and later to try to stop the comet. It was able to stop the comet, but Melodia took out dish that Sideman was using to amplify his power. In the case of the runaway Robot Mule, Bluegrass had Sideman with him, enjoying playing a tune, when the aforementioned Robet Mule showed up, when turned out to be own by Prospector 1, which had a permit on Automata to explore. Bluegrass took Sideman with him on Automata, where he saw the Bandits Mob panning for gold. When Melodia came to the Bandits to get Mon*Star's 99.9% cut of it, she exposed Bluegrass's disguise. Melodia sent Bluegrass down a mine shaft, and he used Sideman to slow down the fall as they glided down instead. Bluegrass then sent Sideman back to the surface to get to the Hot-Seat and take it back to HawkHaven along with a message for decoding of the events and where Bluegrass was. At one point when Tally-Hawk went under the mobs control, among the SilverHawks searching for Quicksilver, Bluegrass in the Hot-Seat with Sideman went out.
One other time, when Hotwing was under the control of the Light-Star, he had captured all the SilverHawks, so Bluegrass brought out Sideman to tie up Hotwing with its lasso like lasers that come from its headstock, however, Hotwing took control of Sideman and tied up Bluegrass with that rope-like laser, instead.
