The Moon*Star is a satellite located near Mon*Star's base of operations. It appears in most episodes when Mon*Star gets transformed in the SilverHawks Series.
History[]
It was not indicated when Mon*Star started using the rays of the Moon*Star, but it has been suggested to have been some time, as he has broken out of the Penal Planet before using the rays. Likewise, he controls Sky-Runner with the rays.
Most of the time Mon*Star will transform when he wants to leave Brim*Star or battle intruders. Yes-Man will aim Brim*Star to take in the rays into the crater where Mon*Star's Fortress and inside that to Transformation Chamber.
In the episode "Sneak Attack, Part 2", Hardware managed to construct a special power pack in which he trapped a sufficient amount of energy to allow Mon*Star to transform and break out of prison.

While the show never explains what the Moon*Star really was, it seems to be a red dwarf star, which had at the beginning of the series experienced a solar flare, making it also a flare star.
