Lion-O is the hereditary leader of the ThunderCats.
History[]
Lion-O as a cub, along with his fellow thunderCats, fled Thundera as it exploded while being attacked by the Mu'tants lead by Slithe. Unfortunately, his Stasis Pod malfunctioned allowing him to age unlike the rest of his comrades. Now a teen physically, he finds himself being trained by Panthro, instead of Jaga, which passed away while on the flight to Third Earth. While outside of the Royal Flagship ruins, he found himself in an battle with Slithe. The rest of the ThunderCats came to his aid and fought the Mu'Tant Strike Force, defeated them and taking down their Mu'Tant Mothership. However, Slithe in battle then managed to shatter the Sword Of Omens' blade, using his Mighty Axe.
Following the events of the shattered Sword Of Omens' blade, Lion-O has a nightmare involving a dead Jaga in the desert. Lion-O awakes from the nightmare and talks with the Thunderkittens, as they try to make him feel a bit better. He asks for privacy and uses the Sword of Omens' Sight Beyond Sight to see in on what the other ThunderCats. In the vision he can see they have discovered a Thunderian in the Mu'Tant Ships wreckage. He greets the Thunderian named Calica in the medical bay on their ship. After the rest of the ThunderCats join them in the bay, she explains what little she could about her abduction and her time being captive on the Mu'Tant Ship. Panthro then questioned her story, angering Lion-O. Later, Lion-O shows Calica and explains the ongoing problem of the broken sword. She then embraces Lion-O.
A short time later, after Calica walking in on Panthro as he was working in the hanger, Lion-O bumps into her in the hall. Lion-O suggests to Calica to walk outside to get fresh air, and she asks if he'd join her. He does a check by using Sight Beyond Sight and sees a door to a room, and Calica warns him to be careful. Lion-O is then attacked it seems and Calica lets out a scream which Cheetara hears. Panthro and Tygra also hear it and all head for the Conference Room where it is believed the yell came from. They find Lion-O holding Snarf, a friend to the ThunderCats. Snarf informs Lion-O telepathically that Snarf was tasked to protect the chamber that has now been revealed to them. Lion-O decides that they need to investigate the chamber. Panthro instructs Calica to not come with them into the chamber. Lion-O and his fellow ThunderCats and Snarf go in and look around and then leave. When they get back into the Conference Room, Lion-O realized that Panthro had told Calica to not come with them, which infuriated Lion-O. They argued and then Panthro took a swing at Lion-O, punch Lion-Os face. Panthro then tells him that he held back and that he could have done much worse. To the defense of Lion-O, Cheetara slams Panthro to a wall. Then she called for a Thunder-Duel, which Panthro accepted. They all went outside and the two were dressed up in proper ceremonial armor to fight. Cheetara defeated Panthro and said she demanded that he follow Lion-O's command. Panthro said he had not respected his leadership and that he will respect Lion-O's title for now on. Lion-O said he values Panthro and they shook hands on that. Lion-O then left with Calica and they went to the Conference Room and in the doorway to the chamber embraced.

A is a learning young leader. Being confronted with threats he wants to do things by himself. But he is slowly learning to depend on his team, developing his leadership skills.
Powers and Abilities[]
Being a young leader, he still hasn't developed all the leadership abilities he needs. However, he has started to learn abilities related to the Sword of Omens.
