Career
Jules Bass formed Rankin/Bass Productions with Arthur Rankin Jr. to produce television films and commercials in 1961. Producing such television specials like Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer which was the longest running single film ever made for television spawned a series of animated specials. He was also the writer to many Rankin/Bass projects under the pseudonym Julian P. Gardner, writing "The Story of the First Christmas Snow", and "The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus".
