Ancient Spirits of Evil (ThunderCats Roar)

The Ancient Spirits of Evil is a group of four statues that can grant many powers to Mumm-Ra. They reside in the Black Pyramid in the 2020 animated series, ThunderCats Roar.

History[]

At one point, the Ancient Spirits of Evil were the source of Mumm-Ra's powers before it was revealed how easily they could be fooled by others. During the time before Mumm-Ra stopped using them, he had conquered third earth and was even given a Evil Karaoke Machine for his efforts by them. At some point he acquired the Doom Staff which made him four times more powerful than normal, so he forgot about the Ancient Spirits of Evil and unknowingly unplugged them so their statues would not function.

After a time, Mumm-Ra found himself without his Doom Staff or anything that could defeat the new pests to his rule, the ThunderCats. Then he plugged in the Ancient Spirits of Evil, not knowing it. They revealed that they had been off a long time, and that they knew that Mumm-Ra was losing badly to the ThunderCats. They granted him his Ever-living form once more plus some special powers including dream-mastering, soul-capturing, and mind-control. Once Mumm-Ra had captured all the ThunderCats, he took them back to his Black Pyramid. The Ancient Spirits of Evil fell for the ThunderCats impressions of Mumm-Ra, which turned them into large "ever-living" versions of themselves. Mumm-Ra was defeated again, even with the efforts of the Ancient Spirits of Evil. Later, Mumm-Ra was given a tip by the Ancient Spirits of Evil to get the Sword of Plun-Darr. Mumm-Ra was hit by it, and then he used it in a plot to take down the ThunderCats. Like usual, he ultimately failed, even with the sword.

The Four Statues[]

Not much is known about the individual statues.

Boar - The leader of Spirits, or at least the most commonly speaker for the group. He holds a Monk's spade, through the depiction lacks a smaller crescent shaped blade on the bottom of the item.
Vulture
Crocodile
Bull - Seen holding a sword. Seems to be where the power first goes to in the set.

Powers and Abilities[]

They themselves do not move. However, they can shoot powers from their eyes to enlarge a person. Other powers they also bestow through the cauldron. When the cauldron is being used; it can enlarge Mumm-Ra, show him directions, and cause a telescope to emerge to see into outer space.

One notable weakness to the statues is a lack of sight, which makes them easy to fool.
