Fighting Hawks (also known as "Weapon Birds") are companion animals that usually are birds, though not all are. They can either be partly metal and partly organic or straight machine. They are programmed to be loyal to their masters even in cases of injury or destruction by carrying out orders. Almost all SilverHawks have a fighting hawk each, while some of the mob also have them.
History[]
When the SilverHawks came to help Stargazer at HawkHaven, he gave Quicksilver control of Tally-Hawk, which is assumed to have been with Stargazer for sometime. The Steel twins then got a idea to make more for each SilverHawk. Most of the fighting hawks were made by the twins other than the unknown origins of Sly-Bird.
The mob countered them by having Hardware make a fighting hawk to rival Tally-Hawk, which was Sky-Shadow. Much like his rival, Sky-Shadow is partly metal and partly organic. It is unknown if Hardware had constructed the mob's other fighting hawks, though it could be assumed he did make Prowler.

Trivia[]
- Condor is not shown in the TV Series to be partnered with a Fighting Hawk.
- The Kenner toyline renamed Condor's Flight Pack to "Jet Stream" and suggested it was a weapon bird on the front of the card for the Condor figure.
- The Kenner toyline had introduced Super Attack Birds Tally-Hawk and Sky-Shadow based on Super Tally-Hawk and Super Sky-Shadow. The Kenner toyline also had a Super Stronghold, which suggests that at one point the series was considering making a vehicle based on Stronghold as well.
