Claudus[2] was the Lord of the ThunderCats on Thundera in the 2020 animated series, ThunderCats Roar.
History[]
On the Laser Disc commissioned by the Thunderian Education Council for "Grune" said the king of Thundera during the time Grune, that Grune had tried to overthrow him, but Jaga came to the rescue. However, the information on that disc was incorrect, Jaga recounts that Claudus was a terrible king and that Grune confronted the king about his treatment of his subjects. Claudus declared Grune a traitor and declared war on Grune. Jaga admitted that he defeated Grune and then by order of the king imprisoned him in a crystal prison and sent him off into space.
Claudus at the time right before Thundera's explosion was shown to be a lazy careless king. He was even warned of the impending event, but ignored it.
When he landed on Third Earth, he was greeted by the ThunderCats. He didn't know what his son looked like so Lion-O confirmed he was his son. During the time on Third Earth he was shown to be the same type of leader as he was on Thundera. Ultimately, Lion-O made up a scenario that Third Earth was going to explode, and he showed what type of leader he was by not including his son of the other ThunderCats with him. The most important things he wanted was the refrigerator and condiments for food. He barely even missed his son after the escape pod went into space. He however, was thinking about looking up Lion-S, which is Lion-O's sister and his daughter.
Personality[]
A ego that only cared about himself, he was a terrible leader to the Thunderians.
Powers and Abilities[]
He ruled Thundera. He was not shown to have much in the way of abilities, and while he was the king of Thundera, he did not even wield the Sword of Omens, leaving that to Jaga.
Trivia[]
- Very different from the two previous versions of Claudus, Claudus in this version still has his sight, but was instead to be shown as a lazy tyrant. He also clearly didn't care about Lion-O, which both of the others did care for Lion-O.
